What is Biometrics?

Biometrics refers to metrics related to human characteristics. Biometrics authentication is used in computer science as a form of identification and access control.

Biometric identifiers are the distinctive, measurable characteristics used to label and describe individuals. Biometric identifiers are often categorised as physiological versus behavioral characteristics. Physiological characteristics are related to the shape of the body. Examples include, but are not limited to fingerprint, palm veins, face recognition, DNA, palm print, hand geometry, iris recognition and retina.

The most general form of biometric readers used in access control is fingerprint biometrics.

What we offer?

We specialise in maintaining any commercially available Biometric Access Control and Time and Attendance systems such as Softcon, Impro, ZK TEco, Saflec, Virdi and Proxnet to name but a few, but have successfully developed our own Biometric Access Control system to cater for our exact requirements and therefore predominately sell our own Actek branded Biometric Access Control Systems.
